Leicester Print Workshop announces a call
for artists for smallprint:big impression; a
touring exhibition of contemporary prints
that measure no more than 100 sq cm (or 15.5 inches)
All selected work will be featured in a full colour
catalogue and will tour continuously in a selling
exhibition throughout 2011 and will also be
available for purchase online.

Selected by an independent panel of experts;
prizes include materials and a cash award.

Submissions for smallprint:big impression are invited from artists working in any printmaking technique. All entries must be original, signed by the artist and created during 2010. Four additional prints from each selected edition must be provided to allow for replacement after sales; we will therefore not accept monoprints or monotypes. If we believe an entry is a reproduction of a pre existing artwork it will not be selected.
The image must no larger than 100 sq cm, (e.g. 10cm x 10cm or 5cm x 20cm). All work should be two dimensional. Maximum paper size will be 500 sq cm (e.g. 20 x 25cm or 10cm x 50cm). The selected work will be framed by Leicester Print Workshop in a simple, contemporary style. smallprint:big impression is a selling exhibition, artists are advised that 50% commission will be taken from all sales; please set the selling price with this in mind.
All payments for sales will be made by LPW to the artist within three weeks of payment being received from the venue where the print has been sold. Please note this may be after the exhibition touring period is over.
